Aug 20, 2005 21:58 | #2 it's bloody amazing.
thats 100% of the image,
thats a crop of 0.05% of the original, and you can see the chain link fence! hows that for detail. orig:
a crop of the people on the left of the orig. and they brag: (quote) :- This extraordinary resolution exists throughout the image. For example, notice the two people near the left of the two images at the top of this page. Even at less than full resolution we can see much about them in the Gigapxl image that would require being next to them to notice in person. For example, The woman's purse is on its side with handle looped to the back, she holds a freshly-lit cigarette in her right hand, her shoes are removed, and she wears a gold ring on the third finger of her right hand. The man wears no socks, has a half-completed cigarette in his right hand, a silver sports-watch on left wrist, and gold-tone (metal vapor deposition) lenses in his sunglasses, which appear to be made by Oakley. Would any of these details be recognizable in even the finest DSLR capture?
in due time - the FBI and those private investigators will be doing there job half assed from a few miles away Matt Bennell

It is more than amazing to see these enourmous photos (10 feet high x 25 feet long approx.) in person. If you're in the area don't miss it. --gmaize

If I made a negative that was 20x30, the exposure would be awesome and the details that could be scanned out of it would be amazing. If Canon made a camera with a Digic processor that was 20x30, then the captures and subsequent prints would be amazing.
