Hows the lighting? Tried a few techniques tonight on a artist.
No Camera flash. Hand held white light.....

These are pretty cool. The only thing that bugs me (and this is nitpicking) is the slight halo to the right of your subject's hair in the first photo. The background and lighting is a little awkward in the 3rd shot. Overall, I really like the second frame.

Thanks for you C&C, I think that the halo is from the lighting because I used a small light behind him too. Ill burn it out. thanks again. Any other "nitpicks" because I'm a perfectionist and want it 100% perfect :)

I agree with Lindsay...one thing that will help that and the overall look of photos like these is to place your subject far enough away from a "background" that it doesn't show, or enough to be able to blur it.

Nice character shots. The harsh cast shadows may or may not be something you want to keep. For example, under the arm in the first shot or on the back wall in the last one. Without those shadows the talent may pop out a little more. The overall lighting technique is interesting though... it's got a gritty metallic feel to it.

Lighting is harsh. It looks like he's being hit with a direct spotlight.

So Ganstaaaa!
Now that I got that out of my system...

1st one is most diffidently the best composed.
#3 is not so. THe shadow is really distracting.

Great work and I'm sure your client will love these shots!
