First time with off camera lights ( Jenn and Brian)

Went over my friends house to do some photos. Used a 46" umbrella , 285hv, 1.8 II, 7Dm v4's. Hope you guys like em. It was my first time using off camera lighting.

Your shots are still competing with the natural light behind your subjects. Draws my eyes to the upper left corners.

Yeah, I realized that when I looked at them. I wanted to find a nice shade around his house but I couldent find anything that worked. I have a bad habbit of doing stuff mid day instead of in the morning or at night when the light is better.

i like the pose they are natural but my eyes tend to look the ramp behind them.

You certainly didn't nuke your subjects, so definitely a step in the right direction. Good job, there!

And yeah, considering the BG first is kind of important to shots like these. Live and learn. You'll get better. Still working on the same thing here!
