The only gripe I have, and that's not against you. Is her expression is the same. As a photographer that looks at portfolios and refers to agents..

That ONE LOOK thing is the most frustrating. You can have the best outfits, but your looks says it all. Why am I looking at this one look! Arrrrr

Love the BTS and great shots. I'd have to agree with imjasonbassett about the one look thing, but if that's how she looks best, that's how she looks. Hopefully as she progresses, she'll learn how to pull off other looks without loosing her eyes.

Thanks again.

....Do you recommend starting out with Bees and upgrading later or saving up for Elinchrom gear? We are getting by for now with a 580EXII & 430EXII, but would like to get some studio lights in the future.

No...Just buy Elinchrom gear and be done with it !!

I've now just recently gone Elinchrom after taking best part of all this year to decide what to replace my eBay Special strobes with, final choice was Einsteins or Elinchroms, I went Elinchrom and totally recommend that choice.

Buy it right, buy it once :D !!

Great photography! The only thing I don't like is her . . . age. I have a 17-year-old. I guess I don't understand that mother . . .

IMHO...Age is not a factor here at all....

Pham did everything "by the book", not only interviewing Miss Skylar AND Mum, but taking Mum along for the shoot...As a VAL (snigger !! ).....

But back to topic, Awesome work Pham, I've been following you for a short while now and just love your work, 10/10 for Nina's ballerina jump !!

One question, do you gell your strobes ? And if so, how ?

Thanks heaps for the inspiration !!

I just want to take nice photographs of people.

Pham, You don't need an old retired environmental scientists and photographer to carry you equipment do you? I would love to spend a day following you around. I think I could learn more about portrait photography from you in a day than I have the 30+ years I've been shooting. Seriously, have you considered doing some workshops in the midwest? I think you could do very well. Again, your work is outstanding.
