Those 15 minutes when your downloading the images off your memory cards and hoping none of the images were corrupt/damaged or whatever only a photographer knows.

Anyone have this post wedding jitter?

Not really. I shoot with Sandisk 2gb mostly, some 4gb so even loss is minimum.

Now shooting with film, when you open it up to change film, that's a rush not knowing if you loaded the film right, or if you even loaded it in the first place.

Actually not too long ago, I think it was last year before I sold my M6. I love that camera and the 35 on it, pain in the ass to focus, but for ceremonial shots, it was great.

I can't think what you guys had to go through when film was around. 32gb cards have been pretty reliable. I have had some problems in the past with sd cards. CF seem to be bullet proof. I had a card go through the washing machine/dryer and it still works.

I won't shoot with anything bigger than a 2-4gb, don't keep all your eggs in one basket.

Where do you put your cards when they are full?

And you can exercise religiously in the hopes of extending your lifespan only to get run over crossing a street while jogging or having a coronary.

My point being, I think the memory card gremlins will get you regardless of what size cards you use. Using two 2gb cards vs. a 4 doubles your chances of losing half your images if you misplace one.

16's for me all the time bay-bee!

Me too. I'm too afraid to go 32gb yet, but if I start shooting like bobby and when they come out with a new 5d3 Im sure I'll need it.

I've settled on 8s and 4s. I find when I use 2s I fill them up in less than an hour shooting in RAW and I spend more time changing cards than I do taking pictures. I missed a bouquet toss once because of a 2gig. Last time I used one at a wedding.

I make a conscious effort to remember exactly what bag and pocket I am putting them in, unlike how I treat most my equipment when I am working quickly. Sometimes when working if there isn't a need for 2 shooters my assistant will make copies to my laptop while were working. Everyone has their preference, I trust myself more than the cards.

Me too! I have mine numbered and just use them in order. I've never had one fail, but I hear it happens. It does get frustrating now with a 7D and raw images, so I've been thinking about going to 8's & 4's. But I have one 16gb that I just use for video and personal use.

To help resolve the problem, shoot with a 1 series body and have your images captured on two separate cards. If one dies, the other will hopefully deliver.
