Caught the glint of the early morning sun on the face of Totem Pole...overnight winds blew out the clouds but left some nice ripples in the dunes.

I like the lead in with the sand ripples. Thanks buddy...I'm starting to like the Silver Efex plug-in more and more...lots of latitude available. sparker1 wrote in post #10930945 Very nice. Would also look good in color. Funny you mention that, Stan...I posted the color version as a side-by-side but decided to take it down. Even though it was early in the morning, the sky was starting to get 'hot' on the left side of the frame. I learned many years ago that B&W is an excellent way to control the hotness when the sky goes white, especially when there aren't any clouds in the frame. I may take another look at the color version, though. "Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son". - Dean Wormer

Only criticism would be that the shadows look like they've gone black. That was deliberate... "Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son". - Dean Wormer

There's also a flare spot on the left which can easily be cloned out. 1.) No it doesn't "Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son". - Dean Wormer
