Been in Japan 17 years...was supposed to stay only a couple of years...but you know, stuff happens.

lol... i never heard that, but thank god i didnt take my wife. I know why it would have ended our relationship... she goes everywhere in high heels and yamadera has more steps than i've ever seen :D

17 years is a long time, but i know the area and i could easily see myself out there for that long... though if i lived near sendai, i'd be eating gyutan almost everyday and gorging myself on yonezawa gyu. Sea of Japan side has better seafood :p

not a big fan of the beef tongue...don`t like eating things that can taste me back...but don`t eat much beef in general.
Really sea of Japan side? never been there. Loved Sapporo though, my wife is in Okinawa right now for a few days with some cousins so I`m bachin` it. But high heels at Yamadera...that`d be something to see. Went in winter once...going up was easy with the rope but coming down was a challenge.
