I have noticed some sports photographers have a cushioned cover with the Canon logo on it. Any ideas where to purchase one ?

Go to the home supply store and buy a short length of water pipe insulation. Normally it has a diameter of about two inches and it has a slit along its length.

Then, grab a copy of the Canon logo and print it in color. Then take wide clear tape and fasten the logo print over your insulation. VOILA!

If you really feel that you need one  , then these are sometimes given away by CPS at major sporting events. If you're a CPS member, you may be able to get one via your CPS contact/rep. I've not seen them around in the Uk for a while... but things may be different in the US.

The covers that I am aware of are generally bright red and somewhat garish. I think that Bob's got the best idea by suggesting that you make your own!

:D Another source for monopod covers, if you feel the need to BUY one is: http://www.apogeephoto.com/laird_photo.htm (external link)

The pipe insulation that I see tends to be dark gray in color. You could put the red Canon logo on it, or maybe a white one.

Birders would use one in dark green or dark blue.
