After watching this tread and learning so much over the past several months I know that my feeble attempt at a first wedding pales in comparison to what is offered here on a regular basis. But I know that I won't improve unless I offer up for your critique and suggestions these attempts. So please go ahead and suggest away how these shots can be improved.

Not bad for your first time. You got some good poses which is where many fail at. The last one look like you were tired of PP and just didn't...same with 4. I'm not sure I like the kissing one. When I first scanned passed it I liked and thought it was cool but looking at it, it's kinda weird. Still, way better than some I see as first timers or even old timers. I would say you should continue on the path, get some more practice and do it.

Here's my take:
#1: The rings look too disorganized. The diamond is facing downwards. Lighting isn't all that great.
#2: Lighting looks harsh. I would have liked to have seen her entire body. Not such a great background.
#3: Lighting looks harsh. Shadows under their eyes.
#4: Same thing. Harsh lighting. Shadows under their eyes.
#5: Harsh and uneven lighting.Kinda odd that the one guy is right behing the groom.
#6: Nice shot but the sun flare bothers me. It's like they are kissing the flare.
#7: Looks kind of weird perhaps b/c of the angle.

You have some great lenses and a good camera. You need to learn to use DOF as a friend.

For example #3 would be much better if the background was blurred out.

Thanks for the CC and encouragement. I would agree with everything said to this point (though I'm not sure I hold up well against much of what I see here, I know that I have a long way to go). I'm working on using OC Flash now because I realize that even in outdoor situations it is going to be necessary. I also know that I have to get my PP up to speed, I'm trying to move beyond the basics and really get comfortable with a work flow that is consistent.
Hopefully the next wedding I post up here will show some significant improvement.
Any more suggestions and help will be greatly appreciated.
