So I was away for a couple of days with my fiancee Jen. We did a little "staycation" as I had unused vacation time that would not roll over, so I used it up. We went up to the mountains as her grandparents have a house up there. We went to an alpaca farm, which was different ;) I was shooting inside a barn so I cranked up the ISO to 1600. Got a few decent shots for her (She's really into animals) and left to go back to the house.

On the drive back we saw a few deer crossing the road. They were about 100 feet or so back when I asked Jen to pull over. They were perfectly still. I was able to switch my lens to my 28-135. I was able to grab this shot and I thought it turned out pretty good. However I didn't realize that the ISO was still at 1600! So it was a bit noisy. I used to RAW processing to reduce the noise, but I also lost some of the sharpness because of it. Oh well, live and learn I guess. Not my typical style, but something worth posting:

And here is a photo of one of the alpacas  :

Great pose on that deer. Despite the ISO mishap it's still a nice picture.

Nice captures! The Alcapa is having a serious bad hair day!

I really like the deer as well. The alpaca shot is nicely executed but alpacas just aren't as cute as a young whitetail :)
