Just started editing some from my last e-shoot and this one jumped out. I really really like it and could use some feedback. I'm mostly concerned with her looking outside of the frame. I know its a big "No,no" but I can't help but feel like it works well and plays into the scene. Opinions?

You hit it on the head - her looking out of the frame spoils it. If she was glancing at the guy, even with her head directed elsewhere, you would have something!
I like the PP and how her white shirt jumps out at you

cheers, Paul

Nothing wrong with her looking "outside the frame"...it all depends on what you were trying to convey with the shot. To me, it looks like she's playfully ignoring the guy, as evidenced by the smile on her face (which means that she'd be looking away from him). Bottom line...if you like the image, that's all that really counts.

I really like this image, although I think its maybe a little bit too dark, but nonetheless its your preference. I dont mind her looking out the frame too, cos for me personally, it adds character to the image. Well done

I should have mentioned that the guy is a huge Lord of The Rings fan. I wanted to try and put him back into a similirar time and her white, lace shirt kind of reminded me of a mid-evil middle earth princess. So thats where the dark shadows and rustic look came to play

Mid-evil? Does that mean she's "half evil"? :D

If you really really like it then who cares what we think. just keep shooting and having fun and quit worrying about photography "faux pas" : )

As that famous guy famously said, "there are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs." Or something. Point is - the 'rules' are meant to be broken - just know why you're breaking them. Breaking them doesn't automatically mean it's a bad photo.

Personally I like it. She's clearly playfully ignoring him, and looking out of the frame kinda adds tension to it.

Overall, I like the image...the fact that she is looking out of the frame is fine in my opinion. The only thing that I would mention is that her pants/legs are very dark. I try not to have my subjects wear drastically contrasting top/bottoms in most cases. I wonder if your post production process was an action, or a custom process for this image. I would lighten up the pants so they are not quite as lost in the image and call it done!
