Okay, so my camera has been working fine the past 4 days, until after I went to shoot an outside friend's get together. The change in temperature messed with my focusing and fogged my stuff up. I thought it had something to do with the body itself so I reset all custom functions, etc.

Okay here lies my problem.. when I focus on an object/subject.. the red light signals that the object is is focus.. but in the viewfinder and screen after the photo is taken is BLURRY. I've messed with the dial beside the viewfinder to sharpen that up, and that does work as far as seeing whatever I'm shooting. I just don't understand how the camera's red light is showing me the object is in focus, but then again blurry in the viewfinder and blurry on the lcd as the photo. I can manually focus my lens to take a photo but I need to auto focus it.. please any help would be appreciated.. I talked to a Canon rep on the phone for over 20 minutes and he could not help me. I am just not looking forward to manually focusing three sessions tomorrow with different lenses. Thank you.

Sounds like condensation.

Let your camera dry out to room temp. without using it for a day or so.

There is no red light indicating focus lock on the 1dsm3. A green dot in the bottom right corner in the viewfinder indicates a focus lock. If the green dot lights up and doesn't blink, you should have a focus lock. Use only the center focus point (red square) for checking the AF.

There could be condensation in the AF system, if you still get blurry images. Sounds a bit odd, though.
