My nephew got hitched, but I wasn't the Paid Photographer.
I have never shot at a wedding, so I thought this would be good practice. I was messing with presets to change some of the ugly BG.
All CC is welcome. Thanks.

It was very dark, but I was able to use my flash. Didn't know it, but my flash wasn't auto zooming. It was fixed at 14mm for all my shots.

last two

Looks like my AF managed to get the building in focus in the first one.
I changed the color output in the last one with LR3 for a red effect and it changed the color of the suits.

The paid photographer put everyone in front of this building for the formal shots and the window was crooked in the last one.

Sorry to say that but direct flash and post-processing don't work for me. I also find photo #2 and the last 2 photos to be soft, like they're almost out of focus. Just my 0.02.

Yep. Missed the focus on the last two. Looks like it focused on the building.
What would you advise to help me with the flash and post. Thanks.

Try bouncing the flash, don't hit the subject with it directly.

As for post, I find that some of your photos are too warm, some too cool and I was justtalking about the inverse vignette in the other thread - it dates your photos immensely. Sometimes just boosting the contrast and a but of sharpening can make your photos and subjects in your photos pop, you don't need tacky and cheesy means such as white vignettes...imo. :)

Here's the 4 shots from outside with the WB set to daylight.
I didn't process them, except cropping with smart sharpen at 36.1.0

This will tech me to remember my WB card  The first one was using flash and 2 and 3 are without flash.

they're so much better now!! I would maybe convert the last one (bride during the ceremony) into black and white to minimize the ditractive bouquet behind her...oh and also warm up the bridal party shots. :)

I played with one of them..the file is too small to do lots with it, but I lightened it up, did a different crop, cleaned up above the groomsmen adn sharpened for web.
