It's always different. Adorama and B&H took forever to get the D7000 in but Amazon and Best Buy had it earlier. It's always a toss up. Plus I'm an Amazon Prime member. Only $3.99 for NBD.

Nice! yuanyelss wrote in post #11806751 ![]() Even still, it looks awesome and I can't wait to see some reviews and maybe even buy one. This hits on 90% of what I've been looking for in a "P&S" for me...

Sigma was the first, but they still haven't figured out how to make a camera that people can get excited about. Taylor

Nothing wrong with retro looks now, is there! Not only is it a beautiful camera, but I think the looks will serve a purpose too, particularly for "street" photographers. An SLR is intimidating and obtrusive, and a compact P&S (I'm including the Sony NEX cameras in here because I hate their aesthetics) can seem amateurish/touristy/slightly creepy even. If I see someone with a rangefinder or a pre-AF film SLR, I'm inclined to think "This guy/gal is a serious photographer, but they do it for the love of the craft more than anything else," and I let them take pictures. Not, of course, that people often take pictures of me on the street. Fuji X100 / Sony NEX-7 / Contax G 45mm f/2 / The ghosts of 3 Canon bodies past / A meagre amount of talent
