Hi, I am a new member, just joined today. already posted a couple of times, and I think what I have seen of this forum so far is really good. I live in Nassau, Bahamas, and bought my first Canon Digital Rebel in April. Always liked Canon since I was a teenager too many years ago to remember, and my dad bought me an AE-1. I hope you will take the time to visit my gallery - I've already seen some of the AWESOME stuff some of the members here have done! I'll proably be a weekend warrior on here, but look forward to "chatting" and learning from your collective wisdom!

My gallery is at http://www.betterphoto.com?anngay (external link)

Welcome aboard, I belong to a number of different photography groups, but POTN is by far the most civil, useful and inclusive of the bunch, you will like it here.

Ahhh! I'm so glad I found this thread. thanks for posting/reviving it. :) I've been looking for something simple and inexpensive to download images to and this seems like it would be perfect for my needs. It's rare that I need something like this, so I didn't want to invest a lot of money that I don't have, but on occasions when I actually do need it, I really do need it.

Now, if only my dad hadn't inadvertantly fried that spare laptop HD by plugging it into the IDE adapter upside down.

Well, I sure am enjoying the humour here - esp Kelly! And SSim thanks for the email. I found a lot of really nice folks over at betterphoto as well, and have come to the conclusion that photography attracts the nicest people - wish I'd found my calling years ago! Thanks everyone for the welcome, you can be sure I will be a regular - hey maybe I'll begin to understand some of that techno stuff if I stick around!!:D
