Hi I have a problem with my canon 100-400L lens. One of the plastic ring inside got loose. Thats the first ring with "steps" you see looking in to the front glass, also front glas got dirty from inside, not a lot just a little bit its a some kind of lubricant or glue whatever was under the ring I think... anyone can help me with repair service ?? anything... I really don't wanna spend money on the new lens, this one is fine when I shake a bit and when I place that ringe wqhen should be works fine...

There is a Canon Service Center just south of you in Jamestown, NJ. It's a very reputable center, and all you need is to go to the Canon website and explain your problem and they will tell you whether to send it in or not. Once you send it there, they will give you an estimate of the repair, count on at least $200 no matter what it is, as that seems to be the lowest cost most of the time.

Suzy thats a great advice.. but where on the canon website should I say something ?? should I call some number ?? which one ?? I don't care about the cost as long is under a $1000 :) I would prefer the "send in" service...

I'm from Canada and I won't send my gear to Canada Service centers. My stuff goes to NJ and they are great. Canon USA does not ship back to Canada so they ship to a parcel service near the border. Only about 1 1/2 hour drive for me but it is well worth it.
