These are a few from Saturday at the show.

Fridays arrivals are here And a bleak sunday is here

We got all kinds of weather over the three days, from sunny, to sunny and 30 knot winds, to an instant 180* wind change, to misty and no wind, to overcast to plain dark.

Love them all, but the last shot is the kicker. The kid blocking his ears speaks volumes. Well done. :)

Currently just a P&S, but watch this space.

 some of the passes were low and loud and a couple quite sneaky. Scared the crap out of the kids around me.

Great shots. What exactly is that F111 doing in that last shot?

It's called a dump and burn. The fuel dump is in the center between the engines, and it's something that has become a tradition for the RAAF F111 at shows. You can see the fuel dump in pic #6 bottom center. There are plenty of youtube vids on it. You can actually feel the heat as it goes past. According to the commentator, it's dumping a 44 gallon drums worth every second, not sure how true that is, but I wouldn't be surprised, the pig is a big plane, and the flame is longer.

Basically it's warming the planet

Here is another angle

Hmm... You should have seen the Rhino sneak pass on the media day. I swear he lined us up and was lower than all the passes on the public days :D

Why is there a gap in the flaps (the red portion) on each side?

Ah, it's one of the reasons they are being replaced with Rhinos, they keep falling off, and we can't get spares anymore! ;)

I don't have a clue to be honest.....

Great series, Particularly like the Super Hornet - great capture. Is the "Rhino" the super Hornet?
