That's why you go with the best... Pick up a nice DFI motherboard, they are really nice (never had a problem with them) for video cards either Gigabyte or EVGA, but sure do change the fan on them to Zalman. You won't have problems with those either. Then pick up some Geil or Corsair or Crucial are top brands. I have Geil ram, top of the line from 4 years ago and no problems with it. And yes my pc is overclocked extreme and same with video card, no problems so far. Those products been tested inside out, that's why they are a lot more expensive then other cheap brands but you get what you pay for...

I have a Biostar tp55 motherboard. It came for free when I purchased my i7 860 from Fry's. It retails for about $100 I beleive. My machines been running for 6 months under a good amount of heat. Ive got the stock Intel heat sink and dont plan on over clocking. I just disagree with the phrase "you get what you pay for", I didnt even pay for my mother board and it running every splendidly.

And premiere is not going to be slow if you dont get an Nvidia GPU as long you have a fast processor. Of course slow is a relative term, but even without GPU acceleration I find premiere to be performing very well and render times to very acceptable, as I think most would.

I would like you to report back after a year being overclocked. Good motherboards with japanese capacitors are designed to be under high stress, but not those cheap one or the ones that you get for "free" and it wasn't free, I bet it was included in the price of your processor.

The processor was priced $20 below retail at Fry's. They had this deal for a few days at a time two months in a row, I missed out the first time. I typically do my due dilegence and checked out reviews on the biostar mother board and found enough positive information to find it suitable for my needs, not overclocking being one of them.
