Why not just sell it and put it towards a 17-40L I'm on the fence between keeping a 5D with my 7D or going JUST crop... Also, had this really worked down to 10mm it'd be 14mm on FF WITH filters which would be amazing. But as it is, if I keep the 5D I'll swap the 10-22 for a 17-40. The other option is selling the 5D for a 24-105 and 50 1.4... My Gear List

I thought filters fitted on the end and thats it? no worries, I'm pretty sure I'm the ONLY person who's ever done this, at least on PotN and flickr (someone did it with a sigma 10-20 which gave me the idea). Also did you put the TC on and then the 10-22 but as you wind back the lens to 10mm, the rear element touches the glas on the TC? exactly. Keep the marker from touching the right side of the 12mm mark and you're safe. It's roughly 17mm and up, so if you want to keep this lens it works, but a 17-40 is probably smarter? My Gear List

So basically you're trying to avoid the pitch-black vignetting from hell because its so wide and also the sound of glass crunching glass. to be OR NOT to be = 1 (which is "to be" so that one's cleared up at last

Which model of Kenko 1.4 TC did you use? yes and the 300 pro DG version. Look at the shots of them on B&H and make sure the element on the lens side is recessed. timnosenzo wrote in post #10944346 It's been a while, but I think you have to hook it up to your computer and change it in DPP. the 5D thread guys saved me, it'd eos utility, thanks!
