Hi

I'd like some honest (first time) critique on my first baby shoot, here are a selection of the pix, more can be found http://www.flickr.com …74593915/with/5009127189/ (external link) ;)

Thanks in advance, here goes:

Hi, congrats on having a go at doing some baby shoots (possibly the hardest subject to keep still for photos :) )

I think the pictures are nice and well composed, but they seem abit overexposed. The first one looks really nice in Sepia, but it looks like the flash might have been on full - perhaps try using a diffuser if this was the case.

The background in the last picture is abit harsh, and washes out the colours of the suits they're wearing, maybe a change of clothes, or a not so white background perhaps. Skin tones can be improved in Photoshop etc, and might be worth having a go at this on the colour ones.

Cute !!!
I like the first, but as mentioned, wee bit harsh, otherwise I am a fan of this editing.

The family one is just perfect.lol....

No skin smoothing!;) It really shows.

Last great concept, but again, the lighting if just too hard on the babes.

Good eye though and look forward to more!

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

Thank you both for the feedback :-)

These little guys (my nieces) were really fun to shoot. That said, one was in a good mood, the other was not!

Yes flash was on full, maybe natural light with reflector would have been better for the first image?

I can see that lighting may be a little harsh too in the last image, I did wash it out more in lightroom however. I can see how the clothing also has affected this too.
