Amy and Michael got married at the beautiful Twin Oaks House and Garden (external link) in San Marcos California a couple of weeks ago. Here are some of my favorite shots. I would love some C&C...and if you have any questions let me know!

As always, more images on my blog (external link)

Very nice set :) Like the dress shot!
I love that location... we just shot there back in July. Really nice light at that location, plus I love the school house.

I wish I had halfnyour talent. I really like each and every single capture.

May I ask how you ensure sharpness with narrow DoF? For example, #7 is wow. But all of them are wow!

dche5390,

use center point focus only and his power shall be yours as well ;)

(of course, you'll need to re-compose your frame after achieving your focus perfection)

no offense... but is it me, or are the brides always way better looking than the husbands?

Please do not critique people in the photos, and no it's not always the case...plus it's too subjective, right?

OP, Great job on these! Love the details and the DOF, beautiful set.

They're all excellent. I'll offer up just a few nits:

#1 is beautiful, but it looks like it may be a little oversharpened. That may just be what happens when downsizing for the web, though.

I love #2, but as I've only recently learned to do myself, have a nice hanger in the car that you can use in case the gown happens to be on a plastic one (as they all seem to be anymore). My eye was drawn right to the hanger.

#4, the little girl almost looks like an accident. Always hard to work out, but it would've been great to compose the image so that she was in it a little more than she was.

#5, I assume you're applying applying a center spot filter? As much as I use that effect often for myself, I don't know that I like it here and would probably use a more traditional vignette instead.

Just some quick thoughts and reactions, and they are indeed all nits; these are beautiful images.

These are awesome. One small nit, please, please carry a nice wooden or silk hanger. The plastic one in the dress shot cheapens the image. Now go back and look at the image and imagine it with a nicer hanger, cool huh.

Sorry Peacefield didn't notice you mentioned the hanger aswell. I thought it was only a pet peeve of mine.

It's really my 1D Mark iii doing all the work! That things focus is so nice. It's the main reason why I dropped my 5D Mark ii.

Good idea about the hanger.

Thanks for the comments you guys I really appreciate it :)
