I took today using the new gossen light meter.One mistake I made is I forgot to set camera to spot metering . Looks as if your DOF is very shallow on these images but the exposure looks good. Metering pattern is moot?Whats that mean?I'am still green behind the ears! Canon 50D and a bag full of stuff!

I'm kind of left wondering ...what? What FlyingPhotog means is that if you're using your meter to set your settings, then spot metering vs. averaging the picture doesn't matter. it's redundant. I walked outside and found the walnuts and crabapples on the ground just figured the different colors might be intresting .I guess the main thing I am lookin for if the exposure is OK. Canon 50D and a bag full of stuff!

Meow.
