Heres a couple issues i've been having, so lets see if I can get some answers.

Before I upgraded to LR 3.2 my RAW and JPEG just appeared as one image. Now I get 2 images, doubling my catalog size and can't figure out how to combine them again!

When I use LR 3.2 on my PC, theres a little ! on the bottom right of my images, its adobes automatic NRD/Sharpen preset and works REALLY well. I can't get that feature to show up on my laptop. Same version.

IN PS CS5 if I go to file -> New -> 4x6" i get a blank canvas. fine. I then open an image and go "Image->Image size -> make 4x6". Then I copy image and paste on blank canvas and its smaller. It works with all sizes. Like if I make an image 3x3 and paste it on a 6x6" it wont be proportional

Ok thats it for now =(

Can't help with LR problem, but the other sounds like a resolution mismatch.

Have a look at the 'treat JPEG files as separate' option in your Lightroom preferences/options general tab.

(Not my solution, seen it posted here before).

Yup that worked. Thanks

Also, isn't 72dpi kinda weak?

It was "un-checked"

I thought that little ! was for either LR2010 or LR2003 process. The ! means that photo has the 2003 process and by clicking it you have the option to update to the 2010 processing.

Could be that you have all 2010 processing on your laptop?

It is: It's telling you the that the file in question was processed using the 2003 version.

One of the few cases where ppi has a relevance :)

Don't mind the size in inch, have a look at the size in pixels. (Or, alternatively, at the size in inch and the ppi value; both should match)

On a side note: Why create a blank canvas and then use copy-paste instead of just opening a file? Makes little sense that I can think of.
Second side note: If you open a blank document, it will be in PS default working space. Is that the same as the output color space you use in LR?

In the previous version they would have been stacked, but have become unstacked when you upgraded.

If you highlight two images, then right click one you will see an option for stacking.
This lets you stack similar images together so they appear as a single thumbnail.

As the others said, its highlighting which process was used.
It's possible you it set to show in one version, but have changed it to automatically convert in your other version.

The problem presented it's self when I was making a filmstrip. I made 2inch by 2inch squares on a blank canvas, shrunk an image to 2x2" and cup and pasted it over. It didn't fit in the square :/

Well, yeah, you need to resize to both the inches size and the ppi if you want everything to play well together in a layout editor. Or, you can do a stretch/transform in Photoshop, but sometimes it's nice to have the pieces all "proper":)!

It doesn't double the catalog ( .lrcat file ) size. It's the same data, just displayed differently.

When I meant double, I meant I have to go through and flag twice as many photos. I know its not doubled memory wise
