Was an end of season clubbie meet, rubbish light most of the time, and took loads of average pics, but these slower shutter speeds made it worthwhile, and I learned plenty .

Yes, nice photos indeed. I'm afraid most of my pans go in the bin, can't seem to get it right. Never mind, there's always 1/1000th, which I tend to use a lot for my motorsport shots.

1/1000th?!? You may as well take pictures of the cars in the car park!

I do like #1 Pons, I'd imagine panning at that angle is pretty tough.

Talk soon,

Rhod

I have been there loads of times and days like this are ideal for mucking about and not caring wether the shot misses the mark,so I experimented .

These days, I prefer to come home with a few crackers than loads of sharp but boring shots, that have all been done before by me and others .

Hi Rhod,
That was 80th at F8,looks really good larger, and does isolate the car from the background a bit, will definately use those slower speeds again .

Would be an awesome shot on the big meets when packed, sunny and blue sky.

Talk soon,

Pons

Love the mini with "attitude" pan :), think it (they all) need bigger image size to do it justice though. Dull days tend to bring out the unconventional approach !

I do like the way you have isolated the backgrounds and your use of slower shutter speeds. I see you have gone for very little space under the cars and this composition seems to work well, however,I think just a little more road in front might lead the eye to the cars better.
