Even with a 2x TC it will be f/5.6 so it will retain AF. Although now that I think about, doesn't the 5DIII have f/4 or faster AF points?? So yeah, good question ![]() It has, but so do most of the bodies have. For example my 450D has a crosstype AF point in the middle. In one direction it is a f/2.8 point and in the other direction an f/5.6 point. By using CS5 my image quality went up considerably, due to the new ACR and the reduce noise tool. Great shots as usual! The one with Hummingbird shot with stacked 2x and 1.4x is fairly good and usable even though I can see some degradations. Yes I agree with you that the new ACR is considerably better in NR. I set mine about 20 to 30% for the higher ISO images, and the noise is fairly non-existent compare to the ACR (forgot which version) on my CS4. It's so good that I had to retouch some of my older photos. Raymond

The lens was very sharp and was nice to handhold. The only issue is that the AF was only OK and there were a lot of missed shots. The lens was nice overall though. Canon 1Ds Mark II
