Lens ordered!! Got a good price on the new Sports 120-300, should have it by the weekend. Can't wait!!

Keen to see how it runs with my Canon 1.4x III, anybody who has used the Canon III and also the Sigma notice much of a difference?

I received my lens today, have had a 10 minute test on my 5D3 and am very impressed. Seems to track quite well, decent focus, and doesn't seem to require any MA at first glance. Will test more later.

Also threw on my Canon 1.4x III and was very impressed! I did notice it cut down the amount of AF points available, I had to enable all 61 points instead of just the cross type. It removed the points to the left and to the right - does this happen with the Sigma tc?

might be because its not communicating correctly with the lens to body though the canon? (backwards engineering at fault?)

So this wouldn't occur with the Sigma teleconverters then?

Only with Kenko DGX all focuspoints are available. With Canon Extender or Sigma TC attatched you lose AF-Points.

Oh wow, that's the post I was looking for!! Thanks Brummel :)

So the Sigma won't improve on the cross-type points. Now I have to work out how the Kenko's compare to the Canon & Sigma converters. I think I will stick with my Canon 1.4x but I might look at a 2x.
