Have anyone used these? I'm looking at the "Strike Finder" and I was wondering if anyone has had any success with these.
Thanks in advance...

Sep 21, 2010 16:47 | #3 Since these types of shots are generally at night and use longer exposures, how much do they really help? Ive never really had a problem getting a shot of a firework or lightning strike because each try usually takes a fairly long exposure. In a good storm, its fairly easy to get at least one strike in a 20 second exposure. Lake Superior and North Shore Landscape Photography

I typically use no more than 6 sec shots for both fireworks and lightning.. WEBSITE

With an approaching storm, just point it in the right direction and I can leave it alone to do its thing while I do something else. Some interim checks to make sure it is still pointed in the direction of the lightning. Equipment list - According to the wife - "how many more lenses do you need? Yet another camera?"

The expensive one which seems more professional: http://www.lightning-trigger.com The cheaper one which has lots of positive feedbacks on ebay: http://www.pmgadgets.com Any feedback will be really appreciated from those who have experience with them. Tony I bought both and they marginally work and unfortunately, neither support their products (you get what you pay for). I had extreme problems with both functioning properly 7Dii gripped, 7D gripped, 5D gripped, 50D gripped, T90, Sigma 8mm Fisheye, Sigma 24-60 2.8, 70-200mm L 2.8, 400 5.6 L, 580 EX II, numerous filters, Monfrotto Tripod and Monopod.
