Is this the correct way to power on Turbo 2x2... anyone with experience?

If the procedure below is not followed the Turbo with not operate.
Mount flash to camera.
Connect Turbo long CZ/short CCZ flash cable between 580EX II and Turbo 2x2, Turbo SC or Turbo
C.
Turn on camera and flash.

Turn on the Turbo last.

Is there any reason why you do not wish to follow the procedure Quantum has spelled out? If there is and doing it any other way works and makes you feel better, then go for it. ;)

I do it the "Quantum way" but only because I tend to turn on the "main" power source last, anyway, no matter what equipment I'm working with. Even if Quantum had not said anything, I still would power on the equipments in the same order, with the battery pack being turned on last. :)

That was not from Quantum and I cant find anything on their website, just something I took from another thread.

Anyone else agree with this sequence?

Oh, OK. Sorry, I thought that's where you got it from. When I get home in an hour or two, I'll check the Quantum instructions for you and let you know.

Quantum provides no instructions about powering on battery vs. powering camera/flash..they merely state to plug in all cables before turning on Turbo 2x2

Thanks Wilt and PacAce.. I just remember reading a thread that stated the exact order suggested. I thought it was Turbo on before 580exII so I wanted to double check.

This is the Quantum page I was thinking off. Since I can't cut and paste the URL link (link always takes you to the main page), I just did a screen shot:

Boy, that is an "I before E, except when..." kind of arcane combination of circumstance!
