Just got my Canon T1i back from the Canon repair center. They stated that there was worm remains in the viewfinder assembly. Ok, what the hell are worm remains? How did I get them and how do I not get them again? Wish they explained that in the letter. Any thoughts or suggestions on how not to get worm remains?

Another question: When putting you camera back in the bag do you

A: leave lens still on?

B: put the body cap on?

C: Eat cookies and leave crumbs

C is a joke

Use a smaller aperture and don't leave the shutter open too long when shooting birds. They'll hide food in there :)

Seriously, I have no idea :|

How exactly do they identify "worm remains" that are small enough to fit in a VF? Sounds like when a shady mechanic tells a customer they need to replace their muffler bearing.

C - eat cookies and leave crumbs - this way the worms will have something to eat.

Never, ever, ever put a camera or a lens back in the bag without the caps. Period.

I put one camera in the bag with lens cap on, and one body with the body cap. All other lenses have caps on both ends. Always.

I shoot a lot of flower closeups, and when I look at the images on the screen I'm surprised at how many bugs are on the flowers that I didn't notice when shooting. But they don't get into my lenses/bodies.

Worms gotta crap too, you know... obviously the pentaprism labeled area must have read as "portapotty" to the illiterate worm. :)

I always put the rear cap on, I sometimes leave the front off cause I have filters. Worm remains... I don't know about that... weird...
