Hi, I have a 70-200mm and it's a little bit loose while attached to the body. I tought it was normal but when i attach my 16-35 it fits real tight and doesn't even slightly move. Even my nifty fifty used to fit tight..

Is there any adjustments that can be done? aanyones else have a similar "issue" ?

my f/4 and my f/2.8 both feel like that. I never thought anything of it.

mine only move in a circular pattern, not back and forth....but they still feel very sturdy on the body. I dont know if this is what youre feeling as well. My other lens dont feel like that

As far as play goes, I've found that some lenses have a little play more than others. I don't know whether it's a coincidence, but lenses with weather sealing rubber gasket at the mount feel tighter.

That said, neither my 70-200L nor my 300L have weather sealing but the 300 feels tight whereas 70-200 has a tiny bit of play.

yea Koshin I feel exactly the same thing, it's circular but feel sturdy on the body.

Actprivate, i have the 70-200 f2.8. It has the weather sealing on it... first i was thinking it was the 7D that had the loose in it but when i installed my newly acquired 16-35 i noticed that it's the 70-200 the "problem"..

I'm about to send in 2 lenses (70-200 IS USM and 100-400) for calibration and asked them to also check the "wobbliness" of their fitment to the 7D body, also being sent in for cleaning. If they advise me on the result I'll post here later, when I get them all back.

Check the screws on the lens mount and make sure they are tight, they can work themselves loose. I actually keep a jewelers screw driver in my case.

The screws on the lens mount on the camera, or on the lens??

I have quite a lot of movement on my 7d 100-400 combo. The 1-4 on my 450d is solid so it seems that the 7d is the common denominator in these cases. My 7d 1-4 works fine, but I do wonder how being caught in a light rainshower would affect it.

My 2.8 Non-IS had a little play when mounted on the camera. Perfectly normal. ;)

I have some movement with the same combo, too. Doesn't seem to affect anything, but it still bothers me a little.

My 70-200 f/2.8 IS mark II is rock solid on my 1D mark II. I don't fee any movement.
