Gimbal Jobu Jr.2 Kit

Using Gimbal head, will it makes easier to do BOF shots? I could get a used Gimbal Jobu Jr.2 for around $150.00 Cdn. Is that reasonable? It will be used with my 100-400 and 40D body. Thanks for the advice.

thanks for the post, i'm interested as well... and how do they work for a more "normal" tripod head functions?

With the 100-400 I prefer to do BiFs handheld. With anything longer/heavier a gimbal becomes more important, although I still do handheld most of the time with a 300 f2.8. The price sounds good compared to the £200 (around US$300) a new one costs over here.
