Went to GG for sunrise this morning. Only ended up with 2 usable shots, the rest were overexposed in the sky because I only have a ND and not a GND at the moment.

Wide was with Sigma 10-20 and B+W ND X8 and the other was a naked nifty fifty.

The first one is dynooomite. Very nice. only nit pic would be some detail in the hill in the foreground.

Did you use a tripod? I really like the first one but looks slightly soft/oof. Maybe it's just my monitor.

i did, actually. And i agree that its not as sharp as it could be. First time out with my new sigma 10-20 and maybe I need to find the sweet spot still? Also could be from PP and all the noise reduction i did to get rid of some nasty noise in the foreground...

Like the first but if the noise was just in the rock you can select this area only for NR rather than softening the whole image or in adobe raw dial the black level up as an easy fix where no real detail is to be gained.

if the other ones were too over exposed is there any chance saving them in your post processing?

otherwise the first one is really cool to me. i love it.
