bokeh'ed Member 111 posts Joined Jun 2005 More info | Aug 21, 2005 23:21 | #1 apart from the difference in better materials used for the lens barrel in L lenses, i can't help suspect that non-L lenses have internal elements made of plastic, much like the way used in eye-glasses. and that probably accounts for the lightweight in non-L lenses.
