Basically, you can play any video type on your ipad for free. So you can watch AVI's, WKV files and such. You go in itunes and click on apps, and click on sharing at the bottom, and upload any video type to your ipad. yeah VLC is nice... very light program too... I have one Avi file though that I can't play... taken from a chinese made cellphone hehe
