I noticed that CSI (tv show) uses Nikons...maybe this is so all the bloody scenes don't have blown up reds...maybe save some photoshop time for the crime lab...

If i remember right most shows use Nikons....

Although if i remember right, NCIS got a 7D at one point

^- i love how isolated and 3D things look ;)

Thats what i miss about film sometimes..But i think its more a case of i dont have the lenses to isolate as effectively anymore

Thanks Kenji! I shot all of them at about f2.0. F1.2 is too tricky and doing my test shot before heading out i figured out i loved how F2.0 looked on this lens.

I havnt had a lens with such an aperture since my Canon 50mm f/1.4, Of course it was soft and nowhere near as good...

I used the 50 1.4 as well and wasnt too big of a fan. Now is the 50L worth the dollars over the 1.4. My honest opinion after enough use, NO  I think i would dump my money into the sigma 50 1.4 and deal with sending it in for calibration.

I loved my sigma 50...I know a lot of people are hoping the 85 turns out like the 50.

Thanks a lot! It worked out perfect. Her shots were taken in front of an old movie theater. Good shadow to take these shots :)

As much as i loved the 50L i cant justify its price vs say the sigma 50 1.4. A good copy of that produces smashing images for a fraction of the price. I know many FF users are looking towards that 85.

Anyone find it odd that Duke Nukem is the one recruiting people to rescue the prez from ninjas?? I mean, he should man up and take care of it, no??

From my experience its not sharp at 1.2 anyway. So a 1.4 sigma is more than enough.
