Well, if the D400 is a pro-body cropper (a la D2X), it will likely stay a 1.5x crop, not a 1.3x crop like canon uses...

Yeah, which is a mixed blessing.

Still if Nikon can get close to the 1DIV but have it in a body that costs similar to the 7D (probably a touch more). It would be interesting.

I read it's a D90 replacement, but that was on Nikonrumors.com ...

Nikon seem to be upping all their models a touch...

Maybe the D400 will be a 1DIV competitor (pro crop body)

It won't touch the 1d 4. You sir are crazy.

I suck at Photoshop.

I know somebody who used to own one and doesn't know how to use it. That's why he switched to Nikon.

Do you know when Nikon is going to release a D700/D800? :)

They have no date yet.

No offense Stealthy but, I think you didn't give the 1D IV a chance. You've already seen what Jay Beckman is capable of with the 1D IV. I conlude user error dumby!

Well, I actually really liked the 1DIV thought it was a great camera.

However, with Canon you have to spend an awful lot to get a FF camera that focuses properly. THEN it's not great in low light.

So it was time to switch. :)

Oh and how about you and the D3? :p

If only you gave it a chance...

Never mind, I'm sure James is having fun with it now.
