Uh huh... -_-;
Lol.
Sure is!!
Hmm, how does the AF speed of the 70-200 2.8L IS I vs II compare, then? If the 50L is just a hair slower than the 70-200 II and the two 70-200's are comparable, then it's not so bad. I have the 70-200 Mk I. It was fast enough to track during a youth basketball game in a dimly lit gym.
Now, I just don't know if it's worth going from the 50 1.4 to the 50L for my needs. I'm very happy with the 1.4 already. I was kind of hoping for a 50 1.4 II, which is more likely to happen before the 50L gets an update, but who knows if or when that would happen. But actually I'm considering the 50L more for video purposes than still photography. Hmmm...
I cant compare to the 200 MK1 just because i used it only briefly. So i dont have the memory of its focus speed at hand. However, only you can decide if its worth it. From my research a lot of people who have made the jump have said it is. From my one day use i can tell you it wowed me vs the experience i had using the 50 1.4 for a few days. Again only you can make the choice if its worth it.

the 85 1.2 can't AF quickly, with all that glass Canon may de-spin the earth if they sped the AF up

:p
It would disrupt the time continum! Great scotts!!

I think my problem is I am overly critical of myself and have too high standards. I don't think I'm bad by any means, but I look at other people's work (even you guys in here) and I'm impressed and kinda look down upon myself. I should start posting in the critique corner perhaps. Actually last year I entered a POTN contest for the first time (SMWYG), and eventually dropped out (due to time issues), but I saw amazing photographs that made me wonder if I can really achieve that. Competition is tough!
Lol, so you know what it's like.
As long as you don't use the towel whip, k!
Yeah, why is it so difficult to find a great 50mm?

Be more positive and continue to shoot. I still dont know what the heck im doing

Learn photoshop and layers. Layers is a great thing to use. Idk. 50mm lenses are not my cup of tea. Anything wider and longer than 50 I really like.
Julian is right here. Layers is awesome and what you can do with them helps a lot!
