Photography is my only pathological addiction; hopefully it won't drive me to something worse.

Curtis, sometimes I'd rather be lucky than good. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks Sandy, I was very happy to have the 300mm between us (telephoto that is) :-)
Thanks Paul.

I have a Cannon with me at all times. You can't take the shot if you don't have something with which to shoot.

Hey Skip,

I didn't realize that you could get that close to use the nifty fifty! LOL.

Great shot. You really nailed the exposure on this.

Thanks John. A 100-400 L would have been in order :-)

What a most perfect shot. There's a sweetness - and a strength - in his eyes that is magnificent...

Thanks for posting!

Best-
Noni

That is one beautiful lion. I think that's one of the most gentle looking cats I've ever seen. And what a great mohawk!

This picture makes me want to curl up under a paw and go to sleep.

Super sharp shooting.
The colours and the framing are excellent.

The quality of the end result is not always proportional
to the value of the total outlay.

Noni, Spirit, thanks for the comments. He seems to have an air of serene power about him.
Thanks Digisnap. Right place, right time. Not much PP, just minor cropping and one sharpening pass using the free program of Picasa2.
