I need a gear bag big enough to hold a 300 prime, a 70-200 2.8 and a couple of other lens, a ton of accessories (filter, brush etc.), and a gripped 50D body. With some room to grow in case I pick up some more stuff. Im in the field all day and need all my stuff most of the time. Any suggestions would be great. Id prefer a backpack, but I havent found one big enough yet that is nice.

Thanks

Rich

I took my 24-70, 15-30, 70-200 and 300 f/4 along with 2 bodies and a couple of flash units in my Domke F7 Double AF with the 720-230 insert. Plenty of room for all that, water, guidebooks or food, cards, batteries, and a netbook in it.

Just looked it up. Thats exactly what I need. I see that the F7 is the "double", is it two separate compartments and you only used one insert? I was just wondering....Thanks again

It's one single large compartment."Double" is by comparison to the F4AF. I don't use the stock inserts; they're removable and I just put my 3-compartment insert (which nicely holds 3 lenses) in. If I have something really long attached to the body (like the 300 f/4 on a TC on the camera) it goes down across the front of the main compartment. But if the camera's attached to anything shorter the lens goes in one of the 720-230's compartments with the body attached and riding on top. The bag's deeper than the compartment so there's room on top of the compartment for the body.
