Powershot Pro 1 Zoom problems??

Hello,
I have a Powershot Pro 1, today when I turned it on the zoom seems to be stuck between 135 & 200, sometimes the zoom ring seems hung up but most of the time it is smooth it just stops right at 135mm. I have tried turning the camera on and off and taking the battery out for awhile. Has anyone ever had this problem? How can I fix it?
Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, I seem to have fixed the problem myself, when all else fails "reset to default factory settings", the zoom still seems like it is hanging up, motor is kind of choppy.
