just curious; why does this announcement has to come from dp review instead of a website that calles itself canon digital photography?

I'd say "ask Canon".. but in all honesty... we don't have a press or review division established.. DPReview's forums may be "rough around the edges" but there Equipment Reviews and News remain,. in my humble opinion,. the best on the net.

5D for $3200?!? That's not what I call a reasonable price. Drop that about $1200 bucks and maybe...

1D MkIIN - Pretty nice features, but still a 1.3 sensor?!? Another swing and a miss.

Keep trying. I don't see an upgrade for me in the near future.

Just my point-oh-two.

This website is photography-on-the.net, hosting this forum, Canon Digital Photography forum. The forum gets its content from members, not from me.

This is NOT the next version of 20D, it's a small 1Ds2 at less than half price, I'd say it's very reasonable. You are welcome to buy a camera with full frame sensor from another company if you want. If you can find one...

You think they would change sensor and just put an "n" at the end? It's still a great camera, no matter what you think.

Then don't get one, I couldn't care less...

./Martin

A 20D with katzeye screen, tons of lenses, a couple of
pods, a flash and some bags. Also some MF cameras,
like a RZ67, Moskva 5 and Agfa Isolette I, II, III :)

Street price will likely be closer to $2800.

What we have here appears to be the ā€œ300Dā€ version of the 1DsMarkII. How long before we see hacked firmware I wonder?

Has any else found any credible information about when these items will actually be able to ship?
