As most know, I'm a fan of the "artitistic" approach so these appeal to me based on light, framing, use of negative space, etc... IOW, I can tell these were shot by a photographer and not someone who is just a plane spotter with a camera. I agree. Sep 23, 2010 21:30 | #11 Photo #1 is the original size. The rest are 2:1 ratio, with the one on the private jet (photo #4) being a little tighter on the crop. The rest are the original width - just the 2:1 ratio cut off dead space above and below.

I especially like the 747 right after takeoff w/ the lights on and water/end of runway at the bottom. I also prefer some of the 747 shots that precede the 3rd one posted here - I think the angle where it cuts the red stripe out of the tail (in the 3rd one here) just makes it look funny as it is not as identifiable as an AirFrance jet.
