Been lurking here for quite some time (daily recently) and was hoping I can get some C&C on a couple shots. I'm kinda new and practicing as much as I can, but don't know too many photog friends so here I am!

A couple shots of my Fiance for a test shoot (which I consider not too great of a shoot).

Let me know what you think!

Post em instead of linking and you will get lots more feedback. Some people don't/can't link to outside sites.

To be honest, not sure how to do that since when I try to insert a photo it just says to insert the "address" of the image...so I insert the address to them on my flickr and it comes out as a link automatically instead of placing the image. I'm guessing they have to be on another website or something other than flickr?

click on the little icon in the top of the post window that looks like the sun over the mountains. Paste the url of your image in there and click okay then submit post.

That's exactly what I did, and they show up as link...

I'm not in love with the post work on the first one, its drab and her head dissapears into the desat background. I like the second, but the pose seems to be lacking just a bit. Perhaps if she were leaning forward a bit, something to denote a little confidence and substance. It would also help separate her chin from her chest a bit.

Cute concept, but the turn of her head makes one eye lose its white..Looking up doesn;t really work for me, but thats me. Iwould rather a more playful look.eye level ?

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

Good points! I'll have to learn to pay better attention when I'm shooting...Think I may be getting distracted. Maybe take more time examining while in PP.

Nice Ray! Was that paint on her? Makeup? Or added in PP?

I really like the second one, but the first one gives more of the "queen of hearts" look.
