Just saw this on Pixel's Hong Kong web site.

http://www.pixelhk.com/Proshow.aspx?id=101 (external link)

Can't find much on google. Does anyone have any information on it?

Based on the name (King vs. Knight), is this a more expensive version of Pixel Knight trigger?

I was about to pull the trigger on the Pixel Knight or Yongnuo but this looks quite interesting.

Interested here too. The only other discussion I've found is from the strobist.com Flickr group. Still not much info yet.

This is the reply I received this morning,

Thanks for your mail!!

our new product King Wireless TTL Flash Trigger has not been finally released.

The beta version was just released for engineer Testing, and the complete functions of the product is not sure at present.

I will contact you by mail until the product available.

Best regards

"Output support TTL mode, input support PC, hot boots triggered"

Hot boots ... officially renamed as far as I'm concerned ... :)

Interesting. Any production unit out for review yet? I saw a review for a pre-production one.

They are still beta testing, so only pre-production at this time.

Available to order on eBay. I am debating.

$180 for a receiver + sender. $125 for a single receiver.

set of receiver + sender:

receiver only:

Plus they add another $60 for shipping from Hong Kong.

That's $365 for 1 Tx + 2 Rx. A lot more than I thought they'd be.

The Kings are aimed at FCM-capable cameras like the 5DII, and fully-controllable Speedlites like 580EXII. They are excellent for single-group E-TTL-II and for Manual flash exposures.

I would expect the PixelHK price to be constant, but other merchants to offer a price advantage as they come on line.

I tried retiring, but gave it up - it's a dead end
