Close, you need a remote, if you just set it to bulb (or past 30 seconds in M mode on rebels) and just push the shutter down it will release as soon as you let go, so you need a remote. on a 60d/7d and rebels you can get a cheap $3 remote from hongkong, and it works great. Oct 15, 2010 21:56 | #336 Had some fun with the 60D tonight, I popped on the Lensbaby Composer and took a walk through Pike Place Market and downtown Seattle on the way home. I ended up with some subjects I don't normally shoot (people mostly, I tend to avoid shooting people,) and some much more creative (composition and/or PP wise) than usual as well. That last one is my favorite shot of the night. These guys looked like they were gathering signatures or trying to sign people up for "save the children" or something else annoying like a lot of other people who hang out on the sidewalks in Seattle. But when I took my headphones out when they gestured, they were just "take out picture! take our picture! Here, here, take our picture!" and then hammed up for the camera when I did. ![]() Canon EOS 70D | Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM • EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM | Tamron SP 60mm f/2 Macro Di II | Samyang 8mm f/3.8 VDSLR Fish-eye

(and New 60D owners!) You have some very nice glass to work with and a great flash too. I bought my 430 at the same time as my 50D & 15-85mm but ended up selling because I didn't use it as much as I thought I would. Now I see the high ISO does very well on our new 60D so all is well. Enjoy the forum & this thread and lets see more of your shots Thanks for the kind words! Canon 6D - Canon 50mm F1.4 USM

It sounds like it will get quite a bit closer which I think for a one lens solution will be a bit better overall for me. My mum has the 18-200 which I have played with a bit. I have found it to not be too sharp in some instances and was unhappy with a few of the results, both on tripod and hand held. Now that the Aus dollar is better I am looking at getting a decent lens. Both were 60D with the 55-250IS. It was this big! I tried capturing flight and movement but found it hard to get good shots. I'm usually in Av mode... but I think I should be in Tv mode with a faster shutter speed next time. Mark

Because I shoot at f/9 to get the best sharpness at 300mm for my lens - it also means high ISOs usually unless its nice and bright outside.

He didnt do his research so he just spent $40 on something that is incompatible Hah. The RC-6 also works with the video recording mode on the 60D if you didnt know.
