I didn't have any luck in the other thread, but can someone answer this for me?

Look in your owner's manual. EP-EX15 is shown for the 60D. Other items are shown.

Sorry..camera isn't physically in my hands yet so I figured I'd order everything in advance to get it all at once to start shooting!

I've placed the order for the camera already, just buying the eyepiece extender now..gonna pick up a lcd screen protector at my local shop and hopefully to go from there. ;D

You can download the PDF of the 60D manual from the Canon website.

The 60D manual, both hard copy and PDF, say it's the original version, EP-EX15. The EP-EX15 II, by the link below, would seem to not be compatible.

For the EP-EX15: "Compatible with: all Canon EOS cameras except the EOS 7D, 1D Mark III, Rebel T1i, A2, A2e, 3, 5, & Elan II-7N series"

For the EP-EX15 II: "Compatible with: EOS 5D, 40D, 50D, & Digital Rebel XT/XTi/XS/XSi/T1i/T2i"

Hey everyone, new 60D owner from Las Vegas. I purchased the 18-135kit about a week ago. Looking to learn new and helpful tips, here are of couple of pictures I took the first night.

Just looked and Amazon has them for less but still not at the 50.00 price point. You got a good deal

I'm sure there will be more sales coming up though. And for the new users that are not to concerned about shooting video just about any card will work to get the camera up and running to take pictures. Even my class-4 cards work fine for just pictures and a quick video.

I bought the original..sounds like it should have been the original since he EP-EX15II says its mainly for rebels anyway. <<

Its currently in effect until March 19th - in the U.S., as with certain lenses. The 7D gets a $200 rebate, as does the 70-200 f2.8L IS II, I believe

They ended up raising the pricing before the rebates came out. Works out to $899 right now with the rebate. Figured it would happen, but oh well. Still a decent price I guess, considering I was going to buy at $888. Just figured I would wait and see what happened yesterday when the rebate went live. I knew $788 would have been too good to be true. I followed the advice of another board member and hit the trigger on it at Calumet yesterday. They now list "Call for availability" so they could have sold out.
