I never had it, but that kit lens really seems to have nice IQ.

Yes it does

The main reason I sold mine was that I was finding it was just too short for my type of shooting, so got the 15-85 - and excellent replacement - but the kit lens, build quality aside, is very good.

Class 6 is good enough but if you want more speed, take the Transcend Class 10. Sandisk SD cards are good but very expensive. transcend brand is not bad.

hope this helps. I just bought 32GB Transcend Class 10 and work like a charm.

Its an excellent point - I too often look to Sandisc prices for their premium cards - but really I should look to Sandisk main competitors because its true - like Canon L lenses - they are too expensive - but the good news is that Sandisk main competitors ARE quality cards and likely Equal to Sandisk premium cards... I would personally do well to investigate fast quality premium Sandisk alternatives like Lexar & Transcend and save like 35-40% or more....

Try the PNY proffessional 8GB:) class 10 cards. I bought one at WalMart for 29.00, and have had no problems with it. I too have always used SanDisk extreame class 10 cards, but I figured I'd give the PNY a try, and alls been good

Any program that will do layers will do it for you, of which Photoshop is just the best and most expensive. Paintshop Photo Pro, older freebie versions of Paint Shop Pro (often came bundled with printers and scanners), old versions of MacroMedia Fireworks... these are the ones I've used, but I'm sure there are others. Fireworks and Photoshop have the best selection tools. Paintshop Pro is okay, and is inexpensive. I've just shifted to Photoshop because it doesn't crash and has better noise removal. GEt teh program, and then figure out how to use layers!

Probably the most "Photoshop Like" Free program out there - and it of course uses Layers

hey guys i need help, what is it called when you take multiple pics of yourself in the same pic?

With a film camera it would be called multiple exposures. Which is what I think you were asking....or maybe not?

Like others have said any editing program that will do layers will let you create the same effect.

Now I have a question for the collective......

Is there any way to do multiple exposures in camera with a digital camera? I don't think so but maybe someone has found a way to do it so I figured I would ask.

I did have one thought and that would be to put the shutter in 'bulb' mode and uncover, cover, then uncover the lens (repeat as needed) until you get what you were after.

Anyway, just tossing the idea out there,

Jon...

The other way I can think of is painting with light. You can just make a really long exposure time and use a bright light source to expose different things one at a time -either at night or with a lot of ND filters. Then you can move them out of the frame and wait for the exposure to finish.
