I hope so. The weather is still crappy and cold, so I really don't mind, I just don't like the fact that it's paid for and out there somewhere. lol.

Yeah, probably. The tracking information just says it's has arrived in Canada and will be reviewed by Customs. And that's where she sits. It should say released from customs when it's done. But, who knows. It'll be here eventually.

Those three lights looked liked they worked well for you. Now maybe time to work on some closer crops or just tighter body shots. Should be interesting to see how you evolve man.

Thanks for that Mike, I appreciate your input! I have some tighter crop, I have yet to edit them. Will do them right after super, I'll be alone and have a whole lot of time for me :)

I tried my hand at doing a head shot. I placed her about 5 feet from the drapes and then shine a light on the drape. The flash I used was a 430 EX. the lens is a EFS 55-250mm 1:4-5.6 IS lens.

Hi Ch, nice headshot. The following message applies to a lot of users, take the hat if it fits your head ;)

While you might be mad/sad because you didn't get comments on your pictures, that does not mean we didn't see it. Sometimes we are simply in a conversation and when it's over, we forgot about your picture. Or sometimes we simply don't comment on every picture we see here, there are so much! Some might comment on picture that interest them, a funny picture or a user in need of help. Or no one might comment.

We've all had that feeling. We feel like we've posted an awesome picture (our best to date) but it gets ignored. Not because it's ugly, not-sharp or un-interesting, but there's a whole lot of reasons why we/I/they didn't comment on it. Don't be mad and stop posting for that. If you really want critique (some times harsh, but that's how you learn), there's a critique corner here, specially made for that. Feel free to start a thread if you are ready to accept critique, be it good or bad.

But this said, don't stop posting for that!

Now CH, for your headshot, first thing, the exposure is great (which is the most important part). Maybe a tad dark, but still great. Pose is okay too, but watch for those shoulders, they aren't equal. She seems to tend a bit to the front, tell her to straighten her back a bit. Big smile, nice opens eye, perfect. The bad part of the picture, is the background. Right over her right shoulders, there are lots of ripples. Because of that, we can see it's a drape and takes away from the professionalism. Over her left shoulder and to the right of the picture, it's perfectly even. Aim for that everywhere next time.

But overall, it's a nice headshot for a first time. Keep it up!

CH687:
Nice picture. Very sharp. Did you use a tripod? My close ups aren't as clear and I'm wondering if that is the issue.
