lol Thanks!

I've never been any good at taking pictures of people. So that was pretty much my first attempt.

I'm a car guy, and the only time I've gotten out of the house since he was born was a couple of days ago for a local Auto-X shindig...Where I tried my hand at panning.

I don't really shoot cars much either. I'm used to landscapes and buildings. They don't move much and you can take your time setting up. Not so much standing in the middle of 3 corners on an Auto-X course :D I managed to get about 8 frames of a Mustang sliding off into the grass on that course, dirt and grass flying, but I focused late so they're not all that great. Wish I knew how to make gifs.

My "fun" car is an '06 GTO. 530 or so at the rear wheels. I'm sure you'll be seeing pictures of that around soon. As soon as I get enough time to put the new wheels and tires on anyway. I need to track down another light or two to get some shots worthy of what I've seen posted here though :D

Is it possible to have a bad 18-135? My photos really aren't as sharp as I'd like them to be, and I've seen people get sharper photos with a 18-55. I always end up sharpening in lightroom to make them even look decent...

Here's my flickr, somebody please let me know if that's the kind of sharpness I should be expecting from the 18-135.

Also, does Lightroom introduce noise to the photo as I edit it? Reason I ask is because I can shoot at ISO 100, expose it properly, and by the time I'm done editing the photo to my liking, at 100% crop I'll see some noise in the photos.

Its just the lens. Kit lenses really are the worst way to go IMO.

I love my 18-135. However, I do have my eyes on a 17-55 f2.8 that's for sale locally. Hell of a price, but I don't have enough cash just yet. It'll sell before I buy, that's just the way life goes. :D

We try to stay loose around here, and have a sense of humour.

We even let people use a 7D..lol

Swamp Fox & cru & Master of Defenestration Hello and welcome

LOL true that. Ranger and I both have 7d's also... Im really hoping for a new 5d this year. Atleast with an AF equal to the 60d and not a rebel AF where only the center point is a cross type.

Just picked up my 60D and letting the battery charge. Maybe I will be able to post a picture or two later today or tomorrow! I think I am already getting lens envy, and I haven't snapped a shot yet. Oh well, the 18-135 will be good for six months or so ...until I can convince the wife I need another lens!
