I don't think I have shown this image here in the 60D thread. With 15-85mm IS, a stitch of several frames. Detail in the whole image is amazing. I used Photoshop CS5 photomerge. ISO 100. 1/125s @ f7.1

Qutab Minar, near New Delhi, India, late afternoon.

Nice mean looking dog

I've had two and they were both the biggest sweethearts. I think it's funny how many people still think they're so mean and not good for families. They are very territorial with their families and homes which makes them great family dogs. They'll take on anything and anyone that tries to hurt their family. She's really quiet, but I have two min pins that bark like crazy if anyone comes to the door. It's funny because I have a sign on the door that says "Ring doorbell and run dog need excercise" I open the door with them barking and people are like haha, they're so cute then she comes around the corner and they instantly freeze up.

Hi everyone, I've only posted once in this thread so far (right when I'd gotten my "Sexy D") so I figured it's about time I finally posted a pic taken with it.

Here's one from a January trip to Joshua Tree National Park. My husband and I rock climb, he's doing a bouldering traverse called "Gunsmoke".

That's crazy, I'd rather eat 20 Bhut jolokia

Ha I wouldn't! ;) Besides bouldering doesn't have to be crazy, the ground is right there, the sand under his right foot! [course I haven't shown you my other pictures]

Good first attempt. If you use a flash add some power or if it's natural light pick up your iso. I've mostly been shooting macro in av mode, auto iso and just vary the AP that I want also started shooting about 95 percent natural light this year. I'm starting to like that look better than flash most of the time.

The shots were with natural light. Thanks for the tip on the ISO, will keep that in mind!

I am sure this has already been asked, but what is a good zoom lens for the 60D? I currently have the kit lens 18-135 but would like something that can zoom in a little further.

Nice! I wanna go to India soo bad! What were you there for, work, vacation?

I lived there in the mid 1960s as a Peace Corps volunteer. Two other "old boy" former PCVs and I returned to visit our old stations and to see some of the country this past January and February for 24 days in country. I took two Canon bodies, 60D and 7D, EFS lenses 10-22mm and 15-85mm IS and Sigma 150-500mm OS.

I usually kept the 15-85 on the 60D and the 10-22 on the 7D, consequently more images were shot with the 60D and any video.

The unedited sets can be seen at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/clgriffin/sets/ (external link)

The video is at: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheAdvaitin (external link)

Images below 60D with 150-500 at 150mm and 15-85 at 24mm.

I've done crazier in my younger days. Now I more closely resemble that cartoon character above.
